Bravo! What a great story. I love the dog calling cock his "tail." Sweet, hot and innocent. 5 Woofs.

Thanks @PupScout! I'll be aiming to get more 5 Woof ratings!

What a sweet ending, and hot to boot. Kinda sad Brett had to leave though, I hope he'll find his own happiness

Thanks! It's hard to write an ending where everyone gets what they want, especially in such a vulnerable triangle. I didn't want to feel like I was rushing the ending, but, it felt like there was a natural conclusion to the story and Brett just wasn't it. He was a facilitator for the plot in some ways, but I think it was important that he decided to leave, himself. It's true to our reality - sometimes people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

What a beautiful story! I feel sorry for Brett, but am glad that Harry and Charlie found happiness in the end.

Thank you @Hypnoguy67! I'll agree, there's a slight bittersweetness to the way things wrapped up. I like to think that Brett knew that all along he was really there to support Harry when he needed it, as a friend. I tried to balance their relationship as being one that was meaningful to them, but not romantic. I think Brett deciding that both he and Harry deserved more than that was the best way to craft a satisfying ending.

Holy crap that was hot! I enjoyed him treating Derek as an object - I considered that part of the fantasy/magic for that "scene" he did for him. I came back to re-read it and I see the edits made, and I think that will help some of these observations others had. Me, I *thoroughly* enjoyed this.

Gonna be honest, I'm missing the romantic angle to this story. Is it a slow-burn?

@amul lots more story to come. Romance is fashionably late to some parties.

I hope to see more of their adventures in the years in between. There is a tension in the story from start to end, it is a pleasure tu read and an unusual setting. Thank you.

I hope Jimmy gets to turn the tables on both Sid and Whit. Or at the very least, Ralph intervenes and helps him take back what's his and get away from that relationship.

I haven't read any of your other stories (but that is going to change) and I see that I've come to this after some edits were made. I love the happy ending of this. Your edits definitely did the trick in making me fully aware that this was just a dark fantasy of Derek's, and I can understand why. I think my favorite part, though, is Razz insisting that Derek quit his job. Having relatively recently ended a job that was doing the same thing to me, it spoke volumes and made me wish I had someone like Razz to have talked me into leaving earlier.

@Proteus thanks so much!! if you do end up reading other things i've written, i hope you enjoy. and yes, that bit was definitely inspired by real life. i left an awful job back in march of this year and i couldn't be happier with the decision. wishing you all the best with your work.

I hope things get better for Jimmy.

@Cutlerfan it's not looking good for him is it? 😁

Great dialog with the computer. Barista is a jerk....he realizes a dog can understand what they're saying and he leaves? I'd be on my knees asking him how do I too turn into a dog? And I loved the description of scents when he was looking for the Barista after he left.

@PupScout I still think I'd react the same way the Barista did... it would freak me out too! Thanks for your kind words.
