i do love a slow burn! The seduction is so much sweeter. i feel like the story is building and i'm being edged psychologically. It feels good, but as good as it feels, there is still that drive to bring it on. That said, i am off to the next chapter. (@time.to.occur Thanks for this one!)

@boi98229 Thank you! Glad that you're still reading and enjoying, and hope these next chapters help give you some of that sweet, sweet payoff! From Cuddle-switch: "The psychological edging is both happenstance and part of the point -- the pacing of the sex has to obey the rhythm of the story to some degree, and the story is our main driving force. However, we were still disappointed that we couldn't find a 'natural' way to put a proper sex scene in this chapter." ...Which is why Chapter 6 is basically all the sex! I think that for both of us, being invested in the character and narrative makes the power dynamics and the sensual parts that much hotter. It definitely takes more time to get there than the average story on here, though! Hopefully we can sprinkle enough sexy bits between the "sexy" plot to make it enjoyable.

@time.to.occur It is said that sex is mostly in the mind. How can the mind get wound up without understanding the context in which the relationship evolves and sexual tensions escalate? For me there has been "psychological edging" starting with the original conversation between Rhys and Jasper at the concert, and jumped dramatically when Jasper was caught and subjected to the new mind control technique. Every time Rhys and Jasper experience a moment of special connection and Jasper learns to trust Rhys more deeply and enjoy more freely, the thought of being a pet starts to feel less wrong and more right. Those are all important steps in Jasper's true submission and the power shifts in their relationship. For me, the seduction in an evolving D/s relationship is this shift in power, and every bit as arousing as the pure sex scenes. This psychological shift is, again, for me anyway, a huge part of the context that makes the sex scenes that much hotter.

@boi98229 That's delightful to hear, and Cuddle-switch and I both agree with that sentiment pretty well completely. It both increases the stakes of the sex scenes and gives meaning to particular acts. From Cuddle-switch: "This person gets it."

Marky Mark and that add was my sexual awakening and the first "naughty" thing I could get my hands on to jerk off. Hot touch.

Now that was certainly unexpected... Perfectly written as usual and now I'm even more curious how this will end... Are.you just writing this or did you have this story lying around for a while aready?

@Martin this one is a GCS exclusive! I've been wanting to work out the dynamics of an mpreg romantic storyline for a little while now and this is the combination of ideas that "clicked" for me. More to come, probably in a little bit, and it'll get nice and steamy from here on out - we've got all the exposition and characterization sorted out now so the fun can begin!

So cute! And I can't wait to see where it's heading... I just hope that Brett doesn't get excluded with Owen's and Stefan's big revelation. (BTW, Stefan is the name of my cousin who I had a crush on since my teens and who turned out to be gay as well - as I only learned many years later).

@Martin Well I think you'll be pretty satisfied on both counts haha! Stefan will come up again and you'll meet him eventually, and the core of the story, at least by my intent, is the relationship between Caleb and Brett as they navigate The Big News.

I'm glad he helped a guy come out. Me thinks his "friends" need a visit from Chad as well.

@Cutlerfan Thank you, glad you like this little adventure. I do plan to bring back those two, let's see in what way!

Would love to see Chad go after the OTHER two "friends" of Soren. Hey, he smelled them on Soren anyway and he needs to fuck some more. 😁

Thanks... I guess there are many adventures to explore for Chad, and I'm sure we'll hear more about Søren's 'friends' - maybe not quite what you expect 😝

What a wonderful chapter addition. I continue to marvel at you and cuddle's detail work put into world building. I particularly liked how Jasper asked for something that Rhys couldn't just snap his fingers and deliver, and the sort of protective response it drew from Rhys. Adding an element of vulnerability into the otherwise unassailably powerful coins adds a unique texture which I think may prove a useful nucleation point (in terms of Zeus's affliction). Although there are often power imbalances which favor the "dom" (Rhys), I do appreciate it when there is an avenue for vulnerable inroads for character building. It tends to add color to what otherwise might be somewhat monochromatic. The current trajectory of their relationship definitely tends towards something more meaningful than what might be otherwise implicit in the designations of "Owner" and "Pet" at the surface level which is far more interesting to me. I shall personally continue to hope this trend continues :) I also appreciate how Rhys is perceptive enough to notice the changes in Jasper. It seems like it should become obvious to him over time that something unusual is occurring. I do wonder what his reaction would be to knowing what was being done to Jasper. I am quite delighted that you have delved into the specific of Rhys's past pet. It does seem rather like this fact coupled with Aris's current modifications to his pet might have an interesting culmination--or even argument--between Rhys and Aris. Up to this point, it has been explored how good it feels to Jasper when Rhys is pleased. I am curious what a negative emotion (not necessarily directed at Jasper) might engender within Jasper. Backstory work is always welcome. Thus far, we have seen lots of scenes where Rhys and Jasper have been out amongst others. I am quite curious what measure of domestic interactions this absolute adoration might bring forth. And of course, to see how the gradual restoration of the silver river might provide an ongoing plot point. I absolutely tip my hat to you both for continuing to write all of this so well and work in lovely allusions. Your RPs must be really special to create such a vivid story. I am agog to see what happens next. I was quite delighted to see a new chapter appear and shall eagerly await your next installment Cheers and Thanks, ~Jayden

@Jayden Thank you so much for this kind, reflective commentary so far! Cuddle-switch and I really appreciate hearing what plot points and world building elements are speaking to you so far. We're definitely trying to put a lot of care into the lore of this world and explore the dynamics that these characters have to offer beyond just a D/s relationship. We'll definitely be aiming to keep that meaningful depth of character and relationships going! We're also definitely curious to explore some of the different sets of complications that we're slowly layering in and seeing how they interact! And you've given us some very interesting thoughts here about some scenes and plot points that might be interesting to push on further, some of which we've definitely got plans for and others that raise fun questions. From Cuddle-switch: "Yes, Rhys is noticing things, but he also wants this so badly that he's willing to avoid seeing things. I expect some up and downs there. As for the Coins, they can definitely be just as vulnerable as the rest of us, they just don't let on as much. Building in some of those vulnerabilities and showing Rhys being emotionally vulnerable hopefully shows that they're not unassailable. Also, doing this kind of detailed minor character development is new to me, and difficult, but I'm enjoying learning about it. Let's see what we come up with!" It's honestly a pleasure to collaborate with Cuddle-switch and write together, and I hope that shows. It's also a pleasure to hear that you're enjoying our writing. Thanks again! -- Time & Cuddle-switch
