I think this is one of my favorite stories ever. Axel and Tao are so well-written, and the way you slowly unveiled their world kept me hooked. Also, I really enjoyed the veteran bits - it almost seems like you might have some military experience yourself. I hope you win the cumpetition!

@Gasuda This is such high praise! There’s little I love more than drawing readers in to real characters and an immersive world. I’m glad it pulled you on, and I hope to keep accomplishing the same thing. I don’t have any military experience, but I have a good sense for the vibe that draws people into the idea. I hate it as a concept in the real world, but as a set piece for kink for someone who adores sadism/masochism, it’s perfect. I’m looking forward to diving more into the kinkified military in some Collar stories. I ended up getting third place, which I’m super proud of! Thanks for reading and commenting—I live off of this kind of feedback.

I love your style and I'm eager to see more work from you here. Both of your pieces fit in well with the themes of the sites, your writing is great and the approach is so hot. The bullying wasn't favoured by me either but it very starkly showed how much he was being changed by Dyl. Even if the bullying was just in his head, a memory that wasn't real but informed his new jock powerful-canine self. I am telling myself that his old friends aren't to be trusted either. Little troublemakers, the lot of them. I am sure they'll get detention themselves soon so won't have a chance to experience any actual bullying from him. A totally different personality as well as body. His mind slowed down. The way that was done, by telling him things like how he'd been in detention before because he'd cheated on the test because he's a bit slow like many of his kind. That was awesome. I got the feeling Dyl was trying to pull the right levers and push the right buttons to get Anthony to emerge. Given his comment at the end about finally having it happen it was like he was frustrated with the resistance or difficulty but in the end he won. Almost like they were playing a game of chess with our main character throwing up defenses and pawns and Dyl taking his pieces a different route until... Checkmate. The mind and body transformation totally out of the main character's control was so good. It's also got a great background worldbuilding going on. Questions and potential for the universe. The principal who I suspected at the start was actually the same principal but with a new coat of paint and brain - But we don't have any evidence of whether he's just a regular replacement and the instigator of all this canine takeover or if Dyl was behind it all and got to the head of the school first to smooth the path. The ability for Dyl to change fellow students into different fellow students. This has a (less scary, more hot) feel of the teen movies where aliens take over the school via body control or copying or whatever. I like this version much better. Especially the subtlety of the detention method. Good students convinced it's a mistake, showing up to sort it out and then losing themselves. Will the remaining humans be able to avoid becoming like the others. A life of a canine subservience to Dyl? Let's hope not.

@Evan I really appreciated your detailed review of both of my stories, especially this one. Your comments left me feeling confident that I hit all the right notes. I was especially wondering how the worldbuilding would come across, since it's a balancing act between wanting to leave things up for the reader's interpretation, but also clearly imply certain things going on behind the scenes. It's really good to see that it came across in the way I wanted it. I went with the 'aliens taking over the school' trope because I thought it would be a unique take on the idea. I really tried to portray the struggle as one between nerds and jocks, symbolized with things like the clothes and of course the attitudes of the students. There's a lot of directions this universe can go in, so now I'm left to figure out where to take it from here. Glad you enjoyed the read! Did any particular quotes or lines stick out to you?

@octavian I definitely got that feel, and I think I said already that I loved your take on it way more. It was intimate too. I think my favourite parts are Dyl's comments to our main character. Soon to be Anthony. The manipulation. Physically rubbing his muscles to "soothe" them because he doesn't warm up or cool down properly. Calling him a dumbass when we know he's incredibly bright. Or was. One of my favourite lines would be in the memory/vision of the football game. Base instincts taking over when the guy on the other team is under him. I'd really love to see more of your world. I think you found a good balance of implying there's more to things throughout the story from the character's perspectives without overwhelming the reader with all the details. They're coming out organically. Certainly both stories together suggest that the existence of the canines is pretty standard and accepted. I hope we get to see more to flesh out just how that all works. And how common these sorts of conversions into packs are. I think you mentioned you had other stories. Where might they be found or are you planning on posting them here in sequence?

@Evan Again, I'm so glad that you enjoyed the stories I managed to tell here. Truth be told, I didn't envision both stories as taking place in the same universe, but if you want to, that's fine by me. There's nothing preventing that from being the case, it just wasn't part of my plan. Maybe I'll make it canon, though! There will probably be more of these concepts, though. We'll see how it plays out. As for other stories, the only other one I've written is a weight-gain focused one, and I'm still on the fence of whether I should post it or not. Probably on GayCupid, since it's more romantic. But we'll see. That one I posted on AO3 wayyy back in December. Really I just want to focus on increasing my output of all different kinds of stories. I've got a lot of different interests and I really do want to explore them. I'm glad to see people like you are interested to see what's to come. Your support means a lot. Feel free to shoot a dm either here or on the Discord if you'd like to talk some more!

Aaaaa I can't believe it took me so long to read this! It was as beautiful and heartwrenching as I expected. I could feel Clement's pain as I watched Andrew in the club with Brian. The flashbacks you used were just perfect, always right on time, and slowly building up Andrew's past and what led to his feelings today. It pained me that Andrew couldn't vocalise what the actual reasons were that he wouldn't open up, wouldn't share. I also thought that you did a _very_ good job of making this a "lived-in" world as a friend once said to me. You take a bit of time to explain how merging works; you explain some of the consequences—and I can immediately predict how Sergio actually feels about Brian, and suspect that Sergio really dislikes Brian but is stuck with him as with an abuser. (I also have a general preference for transformations like this that are only temporary, so you can build a real, sensible world around them. So that was extra fun.) All in all, awesome worldbuilding, exceptional story, beautiful character development. A smashing addition to Cupid.

I loved it. I like furry stuff. I feel like it's just missing some knotting. I will say though that bullying is a turn off for me.

7/23/22, 12:49 AM
@mattersonline Fully understand the bullying part. It's not for everyone. Still, if you're up for more furry stuff (including knotting), you might want to check out the story I posted earlier today. Thank you for the support!

Not into the furry elements, but when I tried to ignore them, I thought this was a well-done jock transformation story.

@Hypnothrill Glad you found something to enjoy, even if it wasn't your cup of tea. Thanks for reading!

Finally getting around to this series! I enjoyed chapter 1 — very hot, and great worldbuilding. You’ve got a good knack for putting the reader in the sensory experience of the characters, which I really respond positively to. I look forward to seeing what’s up with the prince, as well as seeing how you work Talley into the story. I am curious though. How do Seeded guys get anything done, like, say, studying and keeping up their grades, when they’re constantly in heat?

7/22/22, 11:04 PM
Thanks for reading! I’m glad the prose is really helping you dive into the character experience. That was a big thing I wanted to get done in this story, which highlights the sexual powers so much. Seeded guys are not in heat constantly—heats rise and fall, and also build in intensity over time. Additionally, post nut clarity is extra powerful when you’re pregnant, no time more so than right after a heat is satisfied or a contraction completes, so you can get high levels of productivity. And as it happens, although it seems counterintuitive, you soak up knowledge from a teacher when you’re having sex in the classroom… at least, those are all the solutions I’ve posed to myself. Maybe we’ll have to brainstorm some time about the best ones. @Noam de Pluma

Hi there 👋 and thank you for your message. I actually read that very story today as well and loved it. I located your story site through the link you had provided here and added it to my home screen. I just re-read The Spirit of the Bear, which is a story that I truly loved from the first time I read it years ago. 🐻

@Thom That's going Waaaaaaaaay back. LOL Glad you found it again.
