Not Bellamy! 😭 That's curious because, as mentioned previously, I had to do a near total rewrite of all of Bellamy's dialogue and character to make him a lot more tolerable and likeable. He's supposed to be bratty, immature, and self-centered, sure, but there's also some light cracking through. Maybe the second chapter might change your tune... The aspect of Alex's bona fides is also an interesting one. It's a difficult balance of both realism and fantasy - if Alex actually DID his job, then they never would've gone to the party. Which may have brought us to another story thread with the same outcome, but the idea of the party involved multiple facets that will come up in future chapters. Glad to hear you enjoyed the sex scenes though - I'll be honest, as ridiculous as this may sound, sex scenes were never my forte. I always kind of _cringe_ when I read mine after writing them. And I don't know if that's indicative of actual quality, or it's because I'm just never satisfied with how my final product turns out. Chapter two is in the editing stage and should be coming out soon, stay tuned!

Aw, don’t let me bum you out, @[Sebastián Apollo](/user/show/10029736)! Just means you did a good job at making Bellamy bratty just like you wanted. There is some light shining through, and that’s what makes me interested to see where it goes from here. I can tell you’re gearing up for real character development and a thoughtful story. As for Alex, I realize you had a tough needle to thread. For my money, as described by Bellamy’s father, his job is to be a bodyguard, but that means going where the client goes and doing your best within that context. So it didn’t strike me as weird that they went to the party; I was just surprised that he was so inept at handling crowds or fading into the background. But, there was already an air of unreality at KOK that maybe something ‘artificial’ was going on that conspired to undermine him? At any rate, as I said, minor quibble. You did good work!
