Oh man, I feel so bad for Luke losing the game like that and further alienating himself from the team. And what about the implications of his tryst with Mark for his relationship with Sammy? So much to be concerned about! I really hope you write them a happy ending! The sex is superb, of course.

Also, the more I think about it, the angrier I get with Luke’s mom. She clearly got the diagnosis that he’s on the spectrum, and then chose to ignore whatever advice she got from his doctors on how to handle it, allowing him to grow up with the fiction that he’s just like anyone else and doesn’t need any kind of individualized support. Imagine how much of the confusion he’s experiencing could be mitigated if she just did him the service of telling him the truth. Man, you’re making me feel things. Well done, @[Charlie Walker](/user/show/1052782) .

@[Noam de Pluma](/user/show/1403470) Yeah, my mother was the same. I’m also on the spectrum and she didn’t tell me until I was 18 in my senior year of school. Even I managed to realize that I might be autistic years before she told me since I exhibited many behaviors that correlates to that(I.e. hate being touched, getting annoyed from how she talked on the phone when I was in my own room and she was in hers, spinning in circles to calm me down, trouble articulating my thoughts and feelings, getting offended from jokes because I couldn’t pick up on the sarcasm and having people think I’m sarcastic when I was serious at times cause I couldn’t hear my own cues). And I know she knew since she did listen enough to have me go to therapy since the first grade all the way to 12th. Luke’s mom might have been like my mother and just left it all to the counselors(assuming that Luke has a counselor at all). But yeah, I feel anger is warranted when it comes to their actions(or lack they took) just like you said.

@[Omar](/user/show/10014681) Very thought provoking stuff! Personally while I think Maria may have made a mistake, she did what she thought was best for Luke. As a single mom who struggles financially, she was also limited in what she could do. But most importantly she didn’t want to socially isolate Luke from his peers. After he began socializing with other kids he picked up on things and is now well liked with many friends. She didn’t want to restrict him or have him feel different from everyone else. I think it’s a valid approach. After all Luke is on the higher end of the spectrum. He doesn’t have sensory issues, stimming behaviors, etc. It’s kind of the double edged sword of masking, right? If you mask really well people won’t think that you are struggling, when inside you are. The only person who knows just how much Luke can struggle socially is Sammy.

Awwwwww..... I wish we would see how this little fairy tale is turning out. But as fairytales go, we will probably never know. Thank you.

A lovely take on a fairy tale. The dedicated servant gets his true reward in the end for his loyal efforts to his master

Well, have to say I like where this is going… And I really adore your persistence with this! Hmm, can we have a Xmas party at the Wayne mansion in time? I’m really looking forward to it!

This was a marvellous spin on the classic fairy tale ball! I thought each step of the way was really creative. I found particularly amusing the fairy’s absolute apathy toward the story that the lordling and servant were going through. I also found it an interesting and creative change that the “rule” of being unable to talk about the night at the ball is sort of self-imposed, and that serendipity comes in to unlock that mental block anyway. Another great gay fairytale!

I hope in the end that Lex gets taken down by a supervillain. He has gotten way out of control. Awesome story!
