City teenage boy, River Booker is spending the holiday at Uncle Bob's farm deep in the countryside. There he meets Bruce, his uncle's favourite farm help. Almost twice his age, rugged with charcoal-black skin ravaged by several hours toiling in the fields, everything about him is forbidding.
