I remain so gratified by the response to this story. I don't do a huge amount of online reading, so I wondered if anyone had suggestions for other gay-friendly fiction websites which might be interested in posting it. It'd be nice to reach readers who might appreciate this story but aren't visitors of this site. All ideas are welcome! Feel free to post comments here or drop me an email at citizencriskane@yahoo.com. Thanks!

This was simply superb. Excellent descriptions, good characters, well written, touching and hot. Scott with all his regrets was a very likeable and believable person. Also, a good reminder how much things have changed for the better.

This was a very well written, emotionally compelling story. Sort of "It's a Wonderful Life" meets "Somewhere in Time". The 1980s flashback was very realistic. I laughed aloud at some of the music and fashion descriptions. I couldn't put my finger on the point where I really started to care about the characters, but it was at some point in Scott's drunken foray to the fraternity house. The insights of the main character and how his subsequent actions based on those insights improved his life and the lives of others, made this story very heartwarming. How many people would "take a road less traveled" if they could get a taste of "50 year old Scotch"? Thank you for writing!

That could have gone one a bit longer, but the ending was a bit of a tearjerker in a good way. Kudos.

This is easily one of the best written stories ever posted here, and I'm only on Chapter 1. Incredible job, dude.

Sorry for the belated congratulations. I've read this through three times now, and I find more in it each time. All your stories are good, but this is beyond good. It's accurate and honest and unflinching. It demonstrates why we read stories, why we need stories. It's also an absolute joy--I say that even though the final installment made me use half a box of Kleenex, but they were happy tears. Thanks.
