Pierce is really good at making really bad decisions. You'd think he'd be better about handling Maripossa at this point, but you'd be wrong. Hopefully this doesn't ruin anything for Todd, O, or Derek (and i guess Charles/Blu but it's harder to feel bad for him).

I've already commented multiple times on the wonderful characters you have produced especially Pierce. This is the chapter where Todd comes into his own and it's great. But what's even greater is your idea: Derek and Charles had to have Mariposa in order to wake up to who they are. Todd (and O) don't need that kind of stimulus. It's a very nice narrative parallelism you've created and it makes Todd's story all the more intriguing and satisfying. And again, how you come up with the stuff Pierce says, like “How’d he get through customs, smuggling that banana and those pomegranates?” is an ever-stimulating way of creating and maintaining character, especially if a reader thinks you have no more tricks up your sleeve. Bravo!

What an incredible new chapter! I'm SO glad Todd gets someone who loves him--and it looks as though he's about to permanently transform...as for Derek and Blu, I wonder what will happen when the former finally learns about his husband's own Mariposa mix? You have such a gift. Thanks for always writing such super stories!

I’m worried about Todd. First he was letting the bros push him around. Now he’s letting Blu and everyone push him into something he’s not feeling. I really hope he finds some confidence here.

At first I was really rooting for Derek and Charles to get back together, but now I hope that Derek will leave Pierce and Charles in his Blu persona in Cancun. I would think Blu would be happier for it, and Derek deserve better than either of those two, who lied and manipulated him the entire trip.

I still find Pierce the most interesting person in this episode and story. He's so flamboyant - which one usually equates with being transparent. But he's very mysterious. We know he's a Native American and yet absolutely nothing he does seems to have any connection with his cultural background (other than the description of his long dark hair in this chapter). At the outset of the story I felt more connection with Derek than with Charles. Now I'm feeling the reverse - that Charles is learning how to enjoy life (through his alter-self Blu) and that Derek is worrying too much to be enjoyable. I see you're finally allowing Todd to have more character. Maybe Pierce shouldn't have given Todd the six-pack - he might have needed it more. In any case, this is still an amazing story with the characterizations so well thought out. Thank you!

Derek and Charles seem to be drifting apart. I'm not sure how they will stay a couple but I hope to know soon!

Hmmm, something tells me Pierce still has a couple aces up his sleeve, but what game is he playing, a very involving story to say the least!

Arg! Ten days without a new installment! I'm having the Mariposa withdrawl jitters!

Why do I feel in the end blu is going to dump derek for Todd and pierce is going to get with derek.
