What a sweet romance! I look forward to the next chapter.

> I’m a Rubbrsome fan, Absman. The more twisted and trippy, the better! > Funny you should mention Rubbrsome! I'm happy to say I got an email from him this morning, because he'd heard we were talking about him in the Forum. He's healthy and well, though he's dealing with some life stuff, and he'll come back to us when he can. I'm even happier to say he's reading this series -- and he likes it!

> Believe me when I say the next three chapters are a roller-coaster ride and none of it – I hope – what you expect. Personally, I'm satisfied that I managed to guess the big twists regarding the Deputy, Lane and Snake, and Rugby Boy based on your foreshadowing and some very generous hints from you. I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop with my theory about Rugby Boy, but I'm confident that will play out at least mostly as predicted- though of course, I welcome an unforeseen twist. Balancing the twin needs to satisfy an audience by meeting their expectations to create enjoyment and satisfaction while also subverting their expectations to create interest and emotional investment is difficult, even for people who tell stories for a living. > Everything we know and have been comfortable with has been thrown for a loop and we’re off in a different direction than we’d been set up for. > someone with a mind control kink would probably be perfectly fine with an alien invasion story ending in the symbiosis and mental enslavement of humanity > This series -- all the way back to the Original Tale -- has always been a Horror Story. An erotic horror story -- however weird that seems -- but horror nonetheless. We are at the moment of divergence with this chapter. Everything we know and have been comfortable with has been thrown for a loop and we're off in a different direction than we'd been set up for. Believe me when I say the next three chapters are a roller-coaster ride and none of it -- I hope -- what you expect.

> We know the old man was transformed into the Great One but with only a few indications. Here you provide the whole thing > Lots of people have been hoping for a POV-character transformation, which I haven't done since Book One. As something this series is sort of known for, I felt it was important to include this scene. Don't worry -- this is not the last transformation in this story.

> I’ve worked VERY HARD to get everybody hoping for a happy ending in a story where we’re rooting for the villains. Depends on your definition of "happy ending," I suppose. As I've said in the past, someone with a mind control kink would probably be perfectly fine with an alien invasion story ending in the symbiosis and mental enslavement of humanity. Regardless of who loses, we, the readers, will win. But yes, kudos Absman for putting us in this position as an audience!

Wow, chapter 68 is amazing. We know the old man was transformed into the Great One but with only a few indications. Here you provide the whole thing and it could make anyone shoot as much cum as if they were taken over by the plants. Great sequence of chapters!!!

Back on Oct 13, on the Forum Discussion Thread, I wrote: > So… I just wrote a scene in chapter 18 that’s been marinating in my head for over fifteen years! Some of this story has just stored itself away as a series of images – I “saw” this or that happening, I just hadn’t worked out the details. Then there are those scenes – like the one I just finished – that I knew everything about! I knew the dialogue and the camera angles and the images I wanted. It’s almost surrealistic that I’m actually writing it. > I've been sitting on this chapter for weeks now, dying for you to all get here. I'm still not completely free to talk about EVERYTHING, but I will say that I've worked VERY HARD to get everybody hoping for a happy ending in a story where we're rooting for the villains. Just think, this is 9 (of 12), and we're STILL building toward a denouement. That's something that POLLINATION: The Series, Book One, has NEVER been able to say!

Rereading the chapter (and blowing another load over the description of Lane and Snake's enthrallment, that was Grade A writing), the terror and hopelessness of Tully at the sight of the enhanced/erased Murdock sticks out as a haunting image, a narrative warning that there's not going to be a clean, simple, happy ending, at least for Part 2. Whether it be humanity or the symbionts and their Hosts, someone is screwed. I remember you mentioning that you kept Tully around because of a particular tableau that you wanted to use her in. I have a feeling this is it.
