This story gives off the best, sweetest, sexiest, and most importantly, exciting vibes. I love this little universe you built and you keep building with suspense and exciting reveals. Can't wait for more!

Time, this is absolutely unreasonably _pretty_, and I found myself drawn inexorably through the story by the writing. I’ve half a mind to continue reading—though I’m busy, so I don’t know—there’s so much here I look forward to unpacking. You did marvellously.

@Soren Fitz Ahh, thank you so much! I'm glad you felt drawn in -- I hope you do decide to continue, when time allows. There are some parts with hypnosis you may want to skip (that's fine so long as you have the context around them), but I think there's a lot more that you would probably enjoy between Sawyer and Lock.

I loved all of if. The reenacting of the encounter…the love…the drama, all so very wonderful. It’s very good. I always love reading your stories! Keep it up ❤️

I loved the main introduction of the villain, and the role play too. So sad this series is drawing to a close.

A hidden gem like this is exactly what Book Club was made for.

@Norismo Thank you! That means a lot to me! This is a story that wrote itself into a very different direction than I expected!

Your characterisation is on point. I hate the mother quite completely, and she only had a few lines! I will definitely be checking out the rest of this series.

@Norismo thank you for reading! The mother is just... we'll see very soon. Thinks should begin getting interesting and fun soon, and I'm glad you're in for the ride.

@GruffGinger a great compliment coming from you! You know I'm a fan. The full story is pretty much cooked up, not I just need to write it down. Thanks for reading, and welcome for the ride.

@Slave Darius Hail Pharaoh! May many blades strike down the hidden enemy. Once they reveal themselves so shall we.

@ConversionEnthusiast and may the ones who are stricken down whilst in their bondage receive the gift of life from our Father and rise again to serve Him.

Quite a start. It is aching to know these three men had found someone to confide themselves in and find a comfort in life at a very alienating time. And yet, it seems it did not go well. The story and behaviours read very believably like the era. I am brought to mind of some period pieces I've seen and I so easily see the well-to-do splashing money about to keep separated and proper. And the way they address one another. Stiffly formal and last names as what they call one another. I enjoyed the call-out that the intent from Lock was not formality and propriety but a barrier. The emotion is so raw in all of it. From the unveiling of his own desires and denials to the clear heartbreak of loss. It is a difficult read and yet so wonderfully written. Not to mention, a cruel mystery of what happened teasing one to push through that woe in morbid curiosity.

@Evan Thank you so much for taking the time to read this story! It's one I love a lot even though it's a bit of a misfit. I worked hard to research the language of the era. I wanted to get at that confusion and sincere desire and denial of self. I hope I'm not being too cruel in spurring you forward and that you'll enjoy the rewards along the way 💖
